The dark side of religion vs. the dark side of science and alien worlds all meet at the tipping point that is ZERO, an avant-garde Immersive Philosophical play this Friday, October 25th.
This dinner theater, reimagined by an eclectic troupe of performance artists, is the latest in an evocative series by the creative collective Hidden X Soul (HXS).
The event is from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Gothic Church at the First Unitarian Congregational Society in Brooklyn at 119-121 Pierrepont Street. Tickets are $150 (25% promo code JTWTF)
“In a world facing moral complexities and competing priorities, the quest for spiritual truth often takes a back seat,” said Hira Sabuhi, a co-founder of Hidden X Soul. “Leaders may prioritize power over compassion, and societies may prioritize correctness over empathy. So, let’s ask ourselves, what if the pursuit of knowledge led us to humility instead of arrogance? Could we envision a collective pursuit of love for all and animosity for none, uniting humanity in a shared aspiration?”
The performance includes Live music, dance, a DJ, poetry, installation art, 3D projection, and a fashion show. Dinner is also included, brought to you by Taco Mahal and Cozy Tea Loft.
Amid the diverse tapestry of beliefs, let’s embark on this shared exploration, inviting dialogue that transcends divisions and fosters understanding. In this space of unity, we seek a definition of the divine that bridges the gap between believers and non-believers, creating a universal platform for reflection and connection.
Co-founder Amish Darr adds, “Some draw comfort from circular philosophies, while others contemplate moral hierarchies or personal purpose. We haven’t seen anything like this ourselves. That’s why we created it.”
· The play is set inside the hive-mind of HUMANITY, played by Co-Founder Amish Darr, a musician.
· SCIENCE vs. RELIGION, played by two poets, fighting with each other
· An ALIEN mysteriously searching for something on Earth played by a DJ.
· INNOVATION and TRADITION, played by dancers, exploring with curiosity.
· TIME, taking us on a timeline of life, death, and afterlife, played by an actress.
· UNIVERSE, played by co-founder Hira Sabuhi, through the show’s hosting and set design, converting a historic gothic church into a dream theater as the designer and architect of the installation.
· SOCIETY, to show the state of humanity, as fashion models.
· DEATH, will be experienced in a funeral scene with dinner.

Hira Sabuhi is a co-founder of Hidden X Soul. She graduated from Cornell University’s architecture school and has worked in the architecture and design field for 13 years, with experience at SOM, Rockwell Group, and now her own practice with HXS.
She turns co-founder Amish’s philosophical vision into a dream theater experience using physical and sensory design elements through thoughtful installation design and curation of artistic talent.
Amish Darr co-founded Hidden X Soul (HXS) to create a community receptive to his truth seeking art. His music is a compilation of his curiosities solved through philosophy – the very basis of HXS. He has a unique combination of leadership and artistry, steadfast on healing the wounds of humanity through his music as well as his problem-solving skills.
