YAO restaurant recently opened in the Financial District of Manhattan. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

For those looking to experience fine dining on a budget, YAO, is the place to go! It recently opened in the Financial District of New York. It is a modern tribute to Cantonese culinary tradition, by Executive Chef and Owner Kenny Leung and Co-Owner Thomas Tang of the acclaimed August Gatherings.

YAO will be offering a $18 lunch special, which includes one entrée and one cocktail, available Monday to Friday between 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Diners can select one of the following entrees: Fried Pork Chop with Salt and Pepper, Noodles with Beef Ribs, Eggplant and Chicken with Garlic Sauce, Bacon and Eel Fried Rice, Kung Pao Prawns, Beef Ribs with Soy Sauce, Sesame Chicken, Fish Filet and Tofu, Three Kinds of Mushrooms and Vegetables, Yuzu Prawns, and Lo Mein with Char Siu.

Their Cocktails include, but are not limited to: “Volver- Volver”: bourbon, rye, coffee liqueur, cold brew concentrate, house bitters blend #2 “Ume Collins”: Umeboshi Liqueur, vodka, clarified house-citrus blend, sparkling, “The Modern Man (hattan)”: rye, Irish whiskey, house vermouth blend #2, bitters.

It is available for dine-in, one cocktail and one entree for $18, or available for delivery via UberEats for $18 with one entree but no cocktail.
