Actor Tyler Hynes reflected on the 2025 GLAAD Media Award win for “The Groomsmen: Second Chances” for Hallmark. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.
This Hallmark movie, where Hynes stars alongside Jonathan Bennett and B.J. Britt, won the 2025 GLAAD Media Award for “Outstanding Film – Streaming or TV.”
In a gracious post on social media, Hynes remarked, “3 years later we did what we set out to do… To shine a light that might burn as bright as you @jonathandbennett. A journey started with our producing partner and friend @firstryansaid and made complete with our 3rd groomsman @iambjbritt 👑. Our love to our director @ronoliver who is overseas. 🎥”
“The evening was nothing short of inspirational. Very grateful to be in the company of such wonderful human beings. Thank you @glaad and @hallmarkchanne,” he expressed.
Hynes continued, “I’ll let Jonathan speak for himself: ‘I’m so proud of The Groomsmen team for telling the story of Danny, Pete, and Jackson with such love and care. Congratulations to everyone involved and thank @hallmarkchannel for making LGBTQ+ stories a priority and to @glaad for taking care of our community’s stories!'”
Last year, Hynes also starred in “Three Wiser Men and a Boy” along with Andrew Walker, Paul Campbell, and Kimberley Sustad.
