‘The High Life’ is recognized at the Golden State Film Festival

The cast and crew of “The High Life” have a major reason to be proud. On March 3rd, “The High Life” was recognized at the Golden State Film Festival with its “Audience Award for Best Pilot.”

They shared the news via a post on social media.

According to IMDb, “The High Life” also won three awards at the International Independent Film Awards for “Television Pilots,” “Best Director” and for “Best Screenplay”; moreover, it won three awards at the Independent Shorts Awards for “Best Director,” “Best Web Series/TV Pilot,” and for “Best Actress” for creator Stephanie Sanditz.

The pilot was directed by Amy French. Mary Rohlich, Shannon E. Riggs , Kimberly McCullough (“Pretty Little Liars,” “High School Musical,” and “General Hospital”), and Sanditz all served as executive producers.

The pilot of “The High Life” earned a favorable review from True Hollywood Talk.

Aside from Sanditz, who stars as Evie Gold, “The High Life” features Jeremy Glazer (“Animal Kingdom”) as Billy Gold, Amy Landecker (“Handmade’s Tale”) as Linda Gold, Jesse Garcia, Ron Perkins (“Spiderman”), Jonathan La Vallee( “Agent Carter,” “Shameless”), Linda Purl (“24,” “General Hospital,” and “Happy Days”) as Jane Gold, as well as Christopher Mychale Watson (“Seal Team”) as Jackson, among others.
