David Harbour who plays Chief of Police Jim Hopper on the 80’s era show Stranger Things, gave a powerful, funny and inspiring speech as he accepted the Screen Actors Guild awards on behalf of the cast of Stranger Things.
“We are united, in that we are all human beings and we are all together on this horrible, painful, joyous, exciting, and mysterious ride that is being alive. Now, as we act in the continuing narrative of Stranger Things, we 1983 Midwesterners will repel bullies!”, announced Harbour.
Equally as entertaining were the expressions coming from Winona Ryder as Harbour was giving his impassioned speech. She seemed a little surprised at first but her face eventually mimicked his voice as he was talking. Her expressions told a thousand words. Ryder and her co-star Millie Bobby Brown were both nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor.
