Emmy winner Sean Kanan has a major reason to celebrate. He is heading back to “Cobra Kai” Season 6 on Netflix as Mike Barnes. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

“Can’t wait for the @CobraKaiSeries world to see the return of Sensei Mike Barnes,” Kanan posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kanan remarked, “Barnes makes it very clear that this is going to be a baptism by fire for whoever is strong enough to make it through the tests that he sets up.”

“He has got some out-of-the-box thinking,” Kanan added.

The fans are clearly excited for it. The first part of “Cobra Kai” Season 6 will premiere on Thursday, July 18, on Netflix.

In other Sean Kanan news, he has been killing it on the CBS daytime drama “The Bold and The Beautiful” as Deacon Shape, especially in the crematory reveal scene when he realized that the character Sheila Carter (played by Kimberlin Brown) may be alive (thanks to her toe count).

This past December Kanan released his audiobook “Way of the Cobra: Unleash Your Inner Badass” on Audible, which garnered a favorable review from this journalist.

Martin Kove of “Cobra Kai” praised Sean Kanan to this journalist. “Sean [Kanan] is a good guy,” Martin Kove exclaimed. “Sean has mellowed out over the years. He is a hard worker and a very good boy. Sean is a very industrious fellow; he wrote a few books.”
