On October 5th, Vinny Guadagnino performed a comedic set at Governor’s Comedy Club in Levittown on Long Island. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

Guadagnino was joined by a talented group of opening acts, all of which were able to warm up the stage for him, especially Tony D, who killed it with his set and made everyone laugh out loud.

As soon as Guadagnino took the stage, the venue erupted in applause. He introduced himself as “Vinny” and noted that he comes from a popular reality show titled “To Catch a Predator.” “Jersey Shore,” he clarified. “We didn’t catch predators, we caught chlamydia,” he jokingly said.

He shared that he is a “reality star” and acknowledged that “reality show fame is difficult,” and rightfully so. Even though he gets a lot of hate on social media, he expressed that he “loves all his fans.” He revealed that he has never been invited to a Diddy party since he is not “cool enough” for those.

“Have you guys seen ‘Jersey Shore’?” he asked, and went on to explain the pop culture phenomenon of a show. “My first night on there was incredible,” he recalled, and shared some of his experiences on there. The only downside was that he had cameras following him 24/7 on there.

Guadagnino subsequently listed some names of other celebrities that people tell him he resembles. He shared that he is from Staten Island, and revealed his nickname for the borough. He also noted that people in Staten Island did not take the fact that he moved to Manhattan very well.

“This is fun. You guys are a good crowd,” he admitted, prior to opening up about his time with the Chippendales. At this show, he was able to trade in his cufflinks and bowtie for a standup comedy microphone. “Over the last couple of years, I’ve been a stripper in Las Vegas,” he said.

“I wasn’t a male stripper but I was a D-list celebrity host,” he further clarified…. prior to noting that they would call him “Tragic Mike.” “It was cool being a male stripper but people started acting different around me,” he explained.

He also shared that he loves dogs, and went on to discuss some of his views on the recent Trump and Harris political debate. He also stated that he is college educated at the College of Staten Island and that he earned a Political Science degree. “I love politics and debates,” he admitted.

“I went to Staten Island to learn Political Science, which is like going to Australia to learn breakdancing,” he said.

Guadagnino expressed that he is “single,” a statement that resonated well with the ladies in the venue, and he went on to talk about dating apps. “It is hard dating in 2024, especially in Manhattan,” he said, prior to adding that he is looking to settle down.

Once his comedic material was done, he interacted with the Levittown audience by taking questions from the crowd. “Long Island always shows up… It has been a lot of fun,” he concluded.

The Verdict

Overall, Vinny Guadagnino’s show was entertaining, laid-back and fun. He recalled his times on “Jersey Shore,” “Chippendales,” and living in Staten Island, prior to taking questions from the audience. Guadagnino is worth seeing whenever he comes to town.
