Naomi Cooke Johnson stuns with her latest country radio single “Girls of Summer.” #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

A former lead vocalist of Runaway June, Naomi Cooke Johnson has released a fun, upbeat, and anthemic summer tune with “Girls of Summer.” It is liberating, infectious, and worth more than just a passing glance.

Johnson noted that this song has been in the works for quite a while. She described her new music as energetic as “sports, sex, and America.” That is certainly the case with “Girls of Summer.

“I love the excitement of the song and its free spiritedness, and all of these images of what summertime represents,” Johnson told this journalist. “In a cheeky little way, it reveals me as a girl of summer. You can feel that in the song. I am revealing a part of myself in that song,” she explained.

“Girls of Summer” is an ode about the nonchalant girls that don’t stick around too long because they are in it for a good short time, as opposed to a long time. It showcases Johnson’s sass and bubbly personality, and it is extremely radio friendly.

“Girls of Summer” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. It garners two thumbs up.
