On Saturday, December 7th, EDM songstress HALIENE performed at Racket NYC for an excellent fan turnout. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.
She was able to bring her “Into the Water” tour to the Big Apple in the best way possible. Her set included “Castles in the Sand,” as well as the Seven Lions 1999 remix of “Rush Over Me,” as well as “Oceans & Galaxies” and “Erase You.” Some of her songs had a retro vibe to them, which was quite nostalgic and enthralling. “Saving Light” was sheer bliss as well.
HALIENE had the audience in the palm of her hand the entire, and it was a fun, upbeat, vivacious and liberating show. Her voice is golden, pristine, and heavenly.
The Verdict
Overall, HALIENE was sublime at her performance at Racket NYC. She proved that her crystalline vocals are too good to be mortal. There is an honesty and authenticity to her music like no other.
The EDM vocal throne belongs to her. She is highly recommended seeing live whenever she comes to town. Her live set in Manhattan was feel-good escapism, and it garnered an A rating.
