Mena Suvari has been nominated for a 2024 Primetime Emmy, and she should win for her spellbinding performance in “RZR.” #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

She is one of the three performers this year that were nominated for the Emmy for “Outstanding Performer in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series,” and she is the sole dramatic nominee in this category.

Mena Suvari was sublime as Detective Thompson in “RZR” in a versatile performance that was bold, badass, unflinching, and it ran the gamut. She was really given material where she could sink her teeth into, and the result was pulse-pounding.

Simply put, this is one of the bravest and most courageous characters Suvari ever played in her respected career in the entertainment industry, and she was gloriously empowering in the role, thus leaving viewers wanting to see more.

The series was penned by David Bianchi and Daniel J. Pico from a story by Bianchi. It was directed by Yuri Alves, Christopher Folkens, and Pico. Bianchi also produced alongside Noelle Hubbell (“Agents of Shield”).

Speaking of Bianchi, he deserved to be nominated for an Emmy in his own right, and the same holds true for “RZR” in the series “Short Form Comedy or Drama Series” category. Bianchi was able to bring this series to life in a raw and compelling manner, and he was a strong lead.

“RZR” is available to stream on GALA Film.
