One of Netflix’s most successful series returns to streaming on July 4, 2019. Netflix just released the new trailer for Stranger Things Season 3. The show returns much later than viewers expected missing all of 2018. Leading with the song “Teenage Wasteland” by “The Who”, the trailer reveals that the Stranger Things kids are starting to grow up. Unfortunately, the horror of the strange world hasn’t gone away.
During the 2018 Emmy Awards, executive product Shawn Levy said “Cinematically, it’s our biggest season yet!”. The Creators, the Duffer Brothers and producer Shawn Levy indicated they understand the stakes are high, they want to deliver something bigger and better than last year. I think it’s going to be a fantastic season. It will be worth the wait.”
Netflix recently celebrated the first ever Stranger Things Day on Tuesday 6 November 2018. Millie Bobby Brown said she couldn’t wait for fans to see the new episodes as she shared a message from the cast to mark the occasion.
New additions to the cast include Maya Thurman-Hawke, fresh off last year’s BBC adaptation of Little Women (daughter of Uma and Ethan) will join up with the main cast as Robin, a new character who uncovers a “dark secret” in Hawkins.
The original cast that includes, Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven, Finn Wolfhard’s Mike, Winona Ryder’s Joyce, Noah Schnapp’s Will, Caleb Mclaughlin’s Lucas, Gaten Matarazzo’s Dustin, Natalia Dyer’s Nancy, Charlie Heaton’s Jonathan and fan favorite Joe Keery (Steve) are all coming back on July 4.
