Mister Universe Organization was recently spotlighted in the 2024 WeHo Pride Parade, which took place this past weekend in West Hollywood, California. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.
The 2024 WeHo Pride Parade was televised on KTLA. When Mister Universe Organization was introduced by the commentators, they noted that it has over 50 delegates worldwide, and that it “celebrates masculinity, fitness, and personal development.” In addition, it promotes “inclusivity and diversity.”
The actual float featured three notable contestants Riley Hedstrom (Mr. Minnesota), Kendall Jo (Mr. Texas) and Eric Stanton Betts (Mr. Tennessee).
Mister Universe CEO Jino Carnwath Cabrera spoke with the KTLA reporters about what Mister Universe is all about… “Mr. Universe, the Modern Man pageant, is no longer a bodybuilding competition,” Jino explained. “We are looking for the most ‘desirable’ man in the entire world…. on the entire universe.”
Jino went on to clarify and furnish the definition of the word “desirable.” “By desirable, we mean well-rounded… Someone who has talent, charm, personality, advocacy, and someone who can be a role model, who can share their journey and their life story, and also inspire others,” he acknowledged.
“We are making history this year,” Jino said. “You should come check it out… it will be right here in Los Angeles. The Mister USA pageant will be on August 11th at The Shrine Auditorium… The winner of that competition will represent USA in the Mister Universe competition, also at The Shrine Auditorium, in Los Angeles on September 29.”
“Cheers to a successful Pride parade float for Mister USA,” they all exclaimed in a post on social media, following the warm reception.
