Forrest Jones, owner and founder of Forrest Jones Entertainment, chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his latest endeavors.
He discussed serving as the sole promoter of the 2024 Magic Men Australia Tour, which features shows in 90 cities.
Mark Zuckerberg once said: “The biggest risk is not taking any risk… In a world that is changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.” This quote applies to Forrest Jones.
Jones on being the sole promoter of a 90-city tour
“90 cities has almost been tackling the impossible-turned-possible,” Jones said. “I feel this is a great show and the world needs to see it.”
Returning back to Canada for 2024 Tour
“While this is our second time back, it has been quite different since we have a different crew, and that has been really exciting. The girls are loving that,” he said about being back in Canada. “It is also nice to have variety because variety is the spice of life. The girls have been overwhelming receptive of this show by far…. It has been amazing. Every time these guys perform, it’s a new high, in one capacity or another.”
2024 USA Tour
Jones also shared his thoughts on the upcoming USA Magic Men Australia Tour. ” that is a massive opportunity for us because we are dealing with a major player/promoter and that’s Live Nation. “Live Nation is not only monstrous in Canada but all over America and the world,” he said. “We are super excited to be going into some iconic venues in such places as Jacksonville (Florida) and Chicago, and literally all around the world. This American tour is going to set some interesting bars for the boys. This will be a very different experience from what people are used to in Europe.”
“In America, people are going to know we are coming, and we are going to know that we are coming,” he exclaimed. “We mean business, and we are playing in some iconic venues. I have a good feeling about the American tour, and I think it will catapult the guys to the next level…. And by next level, I mean global domination.”
“This year, we are starting on the West Coast and heading East. Next year could result to more cities and more countries… that remains to be seen,” Jones hinted.
“America is one region that I have been pushing for a while. This is something to be reckoned with and I am glad to be a part of it,” he added.
Lessons learned from this journey
“This journey has taught me a lot of things,” he reflected. “Everyone is human, everyone makes mistakes, but I think if you take everybody’s common dominator out of this…. Everyone is a good person that just wants the best… but someone’s best isn’t necessarily the other person’s best, so we need to support each other.”
The digital age
On being a part of the digital age, he said, “This is a personal touch. When people see this show, they know they can be within a meter or an inch of these guys. You can’t do that in any other realm. This is the setting for that, and it’s the right venue size. You can’t do that in theaters with 5,000 people because it won’t have the same impact.”
Jones noted that Will Parfitt is more than just good looks. “Will is one hell of a nice guy. He is a great kid, he puts in a lot of hard work, and I respect him a lot,” Jones exclaimed.
Message for fans and supporters
“The fans that have been with us have been amazing,” Jones exclaimed. “These guys out of their way to reach out to as many fans as they can. We try to respond to as many people as possible.”
