Mark Logsdon is the new Vice President of Publicity of BMG Nashville. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.
According to Music Row, he will report to Executive Vice President JoJamie Hahr. He will helm publicity strategy and campaigns for the BBR Music Group roster of talent, which includes such artists as Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Dustin Lynch, Chase Rice, and Parmalee, among others. The outlet quoted Hahr’s statement on Logsdon: “Mark’s vast array of experience and knowledge not only in the music business, but within his leadership roles, will be an incredible asset to our BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville family. As important, his attention to detail and love for people and music make him a perfect fit for our remarkable roster of artists and stellar team.”
He previously served as Vice President of the Nashville PR firm PLA Media, where he worked under the guidance of president and CEO Pam Lewis. He had joined PLA Media as a Publicity Coordinator in July of 2007. Before PLA, this Summa Cum Laude graduate of Middle Tennessee State University gained experience at Sony/BMG, RLM/Mission Management, and the Atlantis Music Conference.
Throughout the last decade and a half at PLA, he has risen from Publicity Coordinator, Publicity & Marketing Account Executive, Senior Publicist & Marketing Executive, and Executive Director to his current role as Vice President. His unwavering efforts and passion for his clients has opened the doors for the company to expand beyond artist and talent representation into the tourism and festival business.
Mark has served as the PR representative for the following: Tina Turner Museum, Johnny Cash Museum, Patsy Cline Museum, Skull’s Rainbow Room, Nudie’s Honky Tonk, House of Cards, Johnny Cash’s Kitchen & Saloon, West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center, The Americana Music Triangle, 2017 Trop Rock Music Award Winner and co-writer of Diamond hit “Cruise” Jesse Rice, Immersive Van Gogh, Disney Animation: Immersive Experience, Immersive Nutcracker, and Dancing with the Stars finalist and Purple Heart, double amputee veteran Noah Galloway.
During his tenure, he was often seen alongside the trailblazing TV and Country Icon Lynn Anderson whom he represented for the last eight years of her life.
