On June 12th the Regenerate America Coalition, led by the Nonprofit Kiss the Ground, will deliver 30,000 signatures from the Petition for Regenerative Agriculture to Congressional members of the House and Senate Agriculture Committees ahead of Final Farm Bill Negotiations.

Additionally, they will be presenting a list of “What to keep, What to add, and What to amend” from the current drafts and language presented by the House and Senate Ag Committees.

“We are heading to DC again because the Farm Bill is a massive spending bill that by and large continues the push for agriculture that destroys our nation’s soils, we have to keep reminding our representatives that it’s critical to do more to ensure support for farmers and ranchers in their transition to practices that rebuild our soils. It is essential for our nation’s resilience, farmer livelihood, water, and climate,” said Kiss the Ground’s Co-Founder Finian Makepeace.

The Regenerate America™ Coalition represents a diverse, bipartisan movement of farmers, ranchers, NGOs, Farm Groups, and Businesses that are championing the advancement of regenerative agriculture in the Farm Bill.

Over half of US agriculture soil is severely degraded. The petition is a call from this diverse group that aims to ensure the Farm Bill does more to support farmers in adopting practices that help farmers rebuild their soil.  This is critical for farmer profits, resilience, water security, and sequestering carbon.

·       Finian Makepeace – Co-Founder of Kiss the Ground

·       Kyle Apsey Apsey Farms MI RAFLC (Regenerate America’s Farmer Leadership Council).
