The nonprofit organization Kiss the Ground will host a benefit event on September 28th at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Tarrytown, New York. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.
This event will take place on Thursday, September 28th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Award-winning chef Dan Barber of Blue Hill at Stone Barns will help celebrate the release of the documentary “Common Ground,” which is the follow-up film to the award-winning documentary “Kiss the Ground.”
All of the proceeds go towards the goal of transitioning 100 million more acres of US crop and rangeland to regenerative practices.
In addition to a four-course dinner, there will be screening a 20-minute clip of the film “Common Ground” ahead of its theatrical release as well as an engaging presentation by the Kiss the Ground team.
“This is a really exciting fundraiser event that we are hoping will help us to continue on our trajectory to triple our impact by 2030 through our three programs: storytelling, education, and advocacy,” Finian Makepeace, co-founder and chief strategy officer, said.
“Renowned chef Dan Barber will be speaking as well as creating an incredible meal and there will be inspiring presentations on the future of the regenerative agriculture movement and Kiss the Ground’s work within it. It will be a night to remember,” Makepeace acknowledged.
The new film “Common Ground” was directed by Josh and Rebecca Tickell.
