Actor Johnny Wactor (“General Hospital”) chatted about his new film “Supercell,” which stars Alec Baldwin and the late Anne Heche.

The new movie “Supercell” was written and directed by Jamie Winterstern. “It is going to be premiered on March 17th in theaters, and it will be available On Demand everywhere. I am excited about that,” he said. “I play Martin and he allowed me to get in touch with my southern roots, and I got to wear my own real-life clothes and I got to rock my beard. I actually went storm chasing with Jamie, the writer and director, so I had a lot to draw from so I got to go in there and have fun.”

“Jamie allowed me to have freedom with my character and I got to work with Alec Baldwin, so that was a first for my career,” he added.

“I also have an episode of ‘Station 19’ coming out on Thursday, March 16, the night before,” he said. “I have some cool things coming out, in addition to working on the movie ‘American Sognare,’ which I co-produced with my friends.”

Speaking of “American Sognare,” it was written and directed by Luca Perito. In this independent movie, a son returns home for his mother’s funeral after she makes everyone in the family promise not to tell him about her illness.

This past Sunday, March 5, he was a part of an in-person fan event at Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, with Bonnie Burroughs. “It was awesome,” he exclaimed. “We had a great time. It was a really fun event. It was my first time doing an event with Bonnie, we had a good turnout. The fans were super energetic and psyched to be there. Bonnie and I did past scenes from past episodes and we brought out people from the audience to do scenes with us on stage, it was pretty sweet.”

An avid rock climber, Wactor shared that rock climbing has been going well. “I had a milestone in my climbing career this past January. I just sent a 5.13a, which is a pretty high grading in sport climbing. That is a coveted grade to reach so that was great,” he acknowledged.

For his fans, Wactor concluded, “The fans are awesome, I love them. ‘General Hospital’ has the most diehard fans out of any show or movie in the world, they are always excited and they know so much about the show, and they have strong opinions about storylines and characters. Any time I’ve met the fans, they are always so happy and positive. When you are around fans, they feel like family, it’s fun, it’s like a party every time.”
