Performer and dancer Vince Francek of Magic Men Australia chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his inspirations and his latest endeavors.
Byron Pulsifer once said: “Imagine, dream, and believe in yourself. With determination and belief, you will be surprised at what you accomplish.” This quote applies to Vince Francek.
On being a part of Magic Men Australia, he said, “It has been good. I recently joined Magic Men a few months ago. I’ve danced in a few different countries such as Canada, the United States, and Australia. I started dancing around 2018 at the age of 18.”
“I feel that it has taken over Australia. The good thing about Magic Men is that they are starting to do a lot of world tours now, and they are starting to expand a lot internationally,” he added.
Daily motivations
Regarding his daily motivations, he said, “I find that I thrive off the energy and the attention from the crowds and from performing.”
“Putting in all the effort and work to hone a routine and a show, and then, demonstrating it to a crowd that supports it and appreciates it, is something that is hard to come by. To me, it’s dancing because it is a routine and a show that you put together,” he elaborated.
“With that, getting respect and appreciation behind it is what continues me to keep going,” he added.

The digital age
On being a part of the digital age, he said, “I have mixed reviews about it. I believe there are positives to it such as the expansion, and the easy reach, internationally and worldwide.”
“I think that with the digital age now, we can show our skills and our professionalism much quicker.
“The negatives to it are that some people can get on social media and look better than they are. I’ve seen a lot of people on social media with a lot of followers and good looks, but in real life, when you meet them, they look totally different,” he explained.
“There are advantages and disadvantages to the digital age. If it was up to me, I would live in the ‘80s or ‘90s, where there was no social media at all,” he added.
Advice for young and aspiring performers
For young and emerging performers, he said, “I believe it’s a long game, not a short one. It’s a marathon not a sprint. You have to really work on your endurance. In this digital age, everyone is trying to be a performer. Everyone wants to be an actor, influencer, dancer or a model.”
“You need to bring some uniqueness to it. Bring your own touch and just really be in it for the long game and focus on your endurance, and don’t burn yourself out. Try to keep in the marathon and don’t get disheartened. Focus on the end goal and just keep going,” he elaborated.
“While I’ve been dancing for seven years now, I always focused on film and acting; that is where I wanted to go, and I still continue to focus on. Acting is the long game for me,” he added.
“You hear the word ‘no’ a lot, way more than you hear a ‘yes.’ You need to take rejections a lot,” he added.

Japs Photography
He had great words about Japs Photography. “Japs is so great,” he exclaimed. “Japs is very supportive and easy to work with. He creates a comfortable environment in his studio. You go into the studio; he gives you time to warm up and play music. Japs is a really good photographer to work with, and he is also open and gives you good feedback on the photos
Stage of his life
On the title of the current chapter of his life, he said with a sweet laugh, “One foot in front of the other.”
“That is definitely what it is right now,” he admitted. “Obviously, I am still progressing and still moving forward. As you get older, you need more balance as well.”
Superpower of choice
If he were to have any superpower, it would be “to not be able to age.” “I would be like a vampire,” he said with a sweet laugh. “I would love to not age and to keep going.”

Success
“Always progressing to a different level. There is no limit to the sky; you just continue going higher. Success, to me, is not falling from the position that you are at; you keep rising, and you never go back down.”
Closing thoughts on Magic Men Australia
For fans and viewers, he remarked about Magic Men Australia, “I hope people learn about the craft of dancing and seeing a show that incorporates dancing, entertainment, and a fun environment.”
“By coming and see this show, it will give people a good night out. People can enjoy themselves, have a nice evening, and see an art form that is not always around, and it takes a lot of work.”
