Adam Barabas of the Chippendales sat down and chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos prior to his Sunday, April 13th show at The Paramount in Huntington on Long Island.
Legendary chef Julia Child once said: “Find something you’re passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it.” This quote applies to dancer and performer Adam Barabas.
The Paramount in Huntington show
On playing The Paramount, Barabas said, “Honestly, I am having many flashbacks and I feel like it’s a full-circle moment, and I am very happy to be back here.”
On the show tonight, Barabas said, “There will be lots of energy because the guys are killing it. We are a really strong group this year. I am very excited about it. So, The Paramount show is going to be amazing. There will be lots of fire on stage as well as back-flips. You know it!”
Future plans
Regarding his future plans, Barabas shared, “Right now, we are getting ready for another flyout until August. We will be touring the world, so we have a lot of cities to hit until August. Then, I would like to go home to Slovakia for a little bit to visit my family and my friends.”
“Then, we are getting ready to hit the European leg in September and October. I plan on a big vacation in Egypt with my sister, which I am very much looking forward to,” he said.
Stage of his life
On the title of the current chapter of his life, Barabas said, “Passionate and ambitious.”
“I am just very much passionate and ambitious,” he admitted. “I am getting my fire back that I was looking for a long time.”
Barabas on Marie Osmond
Barabas recalled his time working with Marie Osmond. “I miss Marie so much,” he said. “Marie is such a a great artist and performer; she deserves the best… she has a big family that she deserves to spend so much time with.”
New business
In other news, Barabas shared that he opened his new business. “I just opened up my new business, my first LLC, which I am excited about. There are a lot of thoughts coming into my head about it.”
Success
On his definition of the word success, Barabas said, “Success means happiness, balance, inner peace, and mental health. That’s success to me, for sure.”
Fans and supporters
For the Chippendales fans and supporters, Barabas concluded, “Get ready for the European tour because we are coming to my country Slovakia. So, stay tuned for that.”
