Online fitness trainer and model Drew Aggouras shared ways people can start their fitness journey without feeling overwhelmed. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

In a post on social media, Aggouras remarked, “First start small. Commit to just two to three workouts per week—quality over quantity. Even 20 minutes is enough to build momentum.”

“Second, focus on mastering the basics. Stick to foundational movements like squats, presses, and pulls. These build strength and confidence while targeting all the major muscle groups,” he said.

“Third, track your wins. Take progress photos, log your workouts, or write down how you feel. Small victories add up and keep you motivated,” he added.

“Remember, fitness is a journey, not a sprint. Let’s make this year your best yet!” he exclaimed, and wished everyone a “Happy New Year!”

If that weren’t enough, Aggouras furnished advice on how to build muscle for beginners.

“Here are three things you need to do to see real results: Progressive Overload: Keep challenging your muscles by adding weight, reps, or intensity each week. Growth happens when you push your limits!” he explained.

“Second, fuel Your Gains: Eat enough protein (0.8-1.2g per lb of body weight) and stay in a calorie surplus. Don’t forget to spread your meals throughout the day for optimal recovery,” he said.

“Finally, recover like a pro: Muscles grow when you rest! Prioritize seven to nine hours of sleep, take rest days, and try recovery tools like stretching or foam rolling,” he added.

“Consistency is key—stay committed, track your progress, and watch your hard work pay off! 💥
