The cast, crew, and filmmakers of the new film “Code 8: Part II” have a major reason to celebrate. It reached No. 1 on Netflix in 71 countries worldwide. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

“Number 1 in 71 countries. Thank you so much to all those who watched. šŸ™ŒšŸ¼,” Robbie Amell posted on his Instagram.

The film’s high-ranking chart performance on Netflix is indeed based on merit. All of the acting performances in “Code 8: Part II” were extraordinary with Alex Mallari Jr. as the nefarious sergeant King, and Robbie as the vivacious protagonist hero Connor, all while Sirena Gulamgaus delivered a breakout performance as Pav. Equally impressive were Stephen Amell as Garrett, and the triumphant Jean Yoon.

It was expertly directed by Jeff Chan from a captivating screenplay co-penned by Chan, Chris ParĆ©, Sherren Lee, and Jesse LaVercombe. This riveting new movie is the sequel to “Code 8.”

The synopsis is: Connor (Robbie Amell) is out of prison and working as a janitor at a community center, having cut ties with his former criminal associate Garrett (Stephen Amell).

Connorā€™s attempt at staying out of trouble is destroyed when heā€™s forced to help 14-year-old Pav (Sirena Gulamgaus) escape from a pack of corrupt officers led by Sergeant King (Alex Mallari Jr.).

King uses the newly launched robotic K9ā€™s to track Pav down, while Connor finds himself once again reaching out to Garrett and his crew for help, but can he trust the man who landed him in prison in the first place?
