Australian-based nutritionist and entertainer Wesley Barilli of Magic Men Australia chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his latest endeavors. He lives in the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia.
Byron Pulsifer once said: “Imagine, dream, and believe in yourself. With determination and belief, you will be surprised at what you accomplish.” This quote applies to Wesley Barilli.
On being a nutritionist, he said, “I finished my degree three years ago in Brazil, at the end of 2019, and I was working for a nutritionist there helping them with diets, training, and helping people there. When I came to Australia, I also worked as a nutritionist, but it was very difficult and very stressful, so I decided to stop it.”
With looks reminiscent of Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragone, Barilli is happy to be a performer for Magic Men Australia. “I started working with them in July of last year, and I still enjoy it. I love it, it’s a good job,” he said. “What I like most about performing is seeing the smiles on people’s faces, and when they enjoy what I am doing as they watch me on stage.”
On being a part of the digital age, he said, “I enjoy it, the only thing is that you have to do your best every single day. If you are away for one week, it’s over. The digital age is a full-time job for you, and you need to keep up with the Internet every day.”
Regarding his future plans, he said, “I want to stay in Australia, because when I am working for Magic Men Australia, I am in another world. I would love to get my Visa here in Australia, and build my life here.”
“My goal, for now, is to enjoy my life, and to be happy… to enjoy what I am doing and making some money,” he added.
Each day, Barilli is motivated by making a living doing what he loves. “When I first got to Australia, I had a different mindset,” he said. “Now, my mind has changed… All I want to do is make money and be happy, I have no complaints.”
On the title of the current chapter of his life, Barilli said, “Enjoying my new life in Australia.”
Barilli defined the word success simply as “being happy and content with what you are doing in life.” “Success is a complex word, but for me, right now, it’s being happy with where I am at in life, with my family, job, and friends. It’s sad if you are making a lot of money but if you are miserable, it is not worth it. Success is peace of mind,” he said.
