Reality TV star Niko Pilalis chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos, where he opened up about starring in “FBOY Island” Season 2.
“I loved the experience,” he admitted. “I had a ton of fun. I made lifelong friends and learned a lot about myself as a person. I hope to do it again some day…without having my heart ripped out.”
Motivations
On his daily motivations, he said, “Living a life through Christ. I’m motivated internally to be the best I personally can be. I’m motivated to support my one day wife and children one day.”
Future plans
Regarding his future plans, he shared, “I hope to find love. I know that sounds corny, but it’s the single greatest thing you can achieve on this earth! The future includes my career and being the best in it. I’ll continue to be involved in my community and look to help others along the way.”
Greek heritage
He opened up about his Greek heritage. “My heritage is everything,” he said. “It has made me the man I am today. I grew up with a big Greek family. I am a proud Greek Orthodox man. Unfortunately, that means I have a big nose, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My father and Yia Yia showed me the Lord and I’ll never be able to repay them for that.”
Digital age
On being a part of the digital age, now with streaming, technology, and social media being so prevalent, he said, “I am old enough to have seen the genesis of the digital age. I think it’s imperative and we must adapt. There’s always going to be learning curves and kinks to iron out. What’s most important is that we do not lose sight of what really matters and that’s humans. Real human interaction, real human touch, and real human emotions. Not just being behind a screen.”
Success
Regarding his definition of the word success, Pilalis said, “Success is being a man of God. Success to me means supporting my one day family. Success is taking care of my parents as they age. Success to me is being a leader in both my career and personal life. Success there for my family and friends time and time again.”
For his fans and supporters, Pilalis said, “I would like to say ‘thank you’ from the bottom of my heart. It means the world to me. I’m incredibly humbled and very blessed!”
