Matteo Dall’Osto is an Italian actor, fashion model and 2024 Mister Italia winner. He chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his latest endeavors.
James Dean once said, “Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today.” This quote applies to Matteo Dall’Osto.
Earlier this year, Dall’Osto won the “Mister Italia,” and then he subsequently represented his country, Italy, in the 2024 Mister Universe competition.
2024 Mister Universe
On his experience in the 2024 Mister Universe, he said, “That was pretty good. First off, I was in Los Angeles with amazing people. That meant a lot to me. Going into these kinds of experiences gives you a reason to put yourself out there and do something great for your life, to improve as a whole person.”
“That’s why I decided to go after it, and that’s why I got an amazing experience… I gained a lot of knowledge and wisdom from that experience,” he noted.
“Mister Universe was very important to me, and it gave me a lot,” he admitted.
Matteo Dall’Osto on Jino Cabrera
Dall’Osto had great words about Jino Cabrebra, the CEO and president of the Mister Universe organization.
“From my standpoint, Jino is a really great person,” he said. “Jino organized everything and tried to manage everything and he made it a great experience for everybody out there. This was the first Mister Universe event ever, and I think he did an amazing job.”
“All of the other finalists there had the same mindset that I had,” he noted. “That is one thing we all had in common. We all want to improve ourselves, and I am grateful I met everyone there.”
“Hopefully, it will be an even bigger event next time,” he added.
Daily motivations
On his daily motivations, Dall’Osto said, “I want to be better than the person I was yesterday. I want to go further with my life and my career. I am always looking for the next step and the next opportunity.”
“When I look back over the years, I want to be proud of my accomplishments along the way. I have so many things that I want to do, and Mister Universe was one of them,” Dall’Osto noted.
“All the challenges that I’ve been through have shaped me into a stronger person, and that’s why I decided to go for it. Overall, Mister Universe has been such an incredible experience,” he added.
Future plans
On his future plans, he revealed, “I have so many plans, and I don’t want to stop. I would love to work in the cinema industry. I’ve already been cast in short films, commercials, TV episodes and many things. Hopefully, there will be more things to come in 2025.”
Dall’Osto noted that he has a passion for fitness and nutrition.
Visiting Greece
Being Italian, he shared that he visited three places in Greece: Athens, Corfu, and Crete, and even Cyprus. “Athens was actually amazing, and just very inspiring,” he said. “I was very inspired by what I saw there in Greece.”
Stage of his life
On the title of the current chapter of his life, he said, “Focusing on the next five years.” “I’m focusing on my five-year window,” he admitted. “I need to be in the right mindset to make goals.”
Superpower of choice
When asked what his superpower of choice would be, he responded, “I would love to have a magic wand to stop the negativity which is preventing our society to grow. There are many bad things out there that are stopping the good ones, sometimes. Negativity doesn’t bring any benefits to society. It is up to us to do something about it.”
“I am sure that if all of us had the chance to inspire others to do something meaningful, it would be a better world,” he added.
Success
On his definition of the word success, he said, “I don’t want to have any regrets when I grow older. For me, personally, success is not about money, a nice car, or a nice house. Everyone has their own definition of success, and that’s what makes it unique.”
“It’s about reaching the things I have in mind and being able to accomplish great things; to challenge my fears and to after something, and to be proud of it,” he noted.
“Success is about leaving something back to other people. You have to succeed but at the same time, you have to inspire; otherwise, it wouldn’t be an accomplishment if you are not able to give something back,” he added.
Message for his fans
For his fans and supporters, he said, “Be humble but be hungry. That’s what I am trying to be… I am hungry for greatness, and I am striving for it. At the same time, I remember where I came from. Keep going, keep hustling, and stay positive.”
