He will receive the “Bodyguard Man of Influence Award” at the D’CEM Awards in Atlanta later this month. He noted that his recognition embodies his message of such values as “faith, unity, as well as his commitment to his community.” This Influence Award will be presented on July 22 during a red-carpet ceremony with police escort.
He is known for being the bodyguard of Dr. Khalilah Ali, the former wife of Muhammad Ali.
According to an article in Coastal Point, Almony was nominated thanks to his outstanding contributions to community leadership, as well as international contributions, his achievements and positive influence on society at large.” Almony noted that he strives to be a positive role model for the youth and he is against bullying.
