“All My Children” actress Esta TerBlanche died this past Thursday at the age of 51.

A South African actress, TerBlanche was known for playing Gillian Andrassy on the ABC soap opera “All My Children” from 1997 until 2001. She played a Hungarian princess, who was sent to live with her cousin. Her enemies-to-lovers storyline with Ryan Lavery, played by Cameron Mathison, was popular at the time. TerBlanche was born on January 7, 1973, in Rustenburg, South Africa.

Her death was confirmed by her publicist, Lisa Rodrigo. An autopsy report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner is pending.

Lisa Rodrigo remarked, “I am heartbroken upon learning about Esta’s death. She was and always will be a beautiful soul who I will miss every day. I am proud to have known her and call her not only a client but a friend.”

Cameron Mathison also took the time to pay his respects to his first love interest on “All My Children.”

“RIP, My sweet princess,” Mathison posted on his Instagram story. “Esta helped me last year when my dog, Red, was sick and paralyzed, and I was struggling. One of the sweetest people ever.”
