Split is #1 at the box office! The movie grossed over $40,000,000 at the box office this weekend on a budget of $10,000,000 in the first few days of release. In 1999 Shyamalan set a new standard when he directed The Sixth Sense. The movies following that were were met with diminishing returns. Split marks a great comeback for M. Night Shyamalan.
The movie focuses on three teenage girls trapped by a man suffering from dissociative identity disorder. Split is an exciting thriller that will bring back Shyamalan fans back to the memory when his movies had totally unexpected endings. James McAvoy’s performance was no less than stunning.
