Jennifer Hudson, Brie Larson, Emmanuel Lubezki, Jason Reitman, Ken Watanabe and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs announced the nominations for the 89th Academy Awards this morning just after 5AM.
“La La Land” dominated the Oscars with 14 nominations. The movie was nominated for best actor, actress, director and picture.
Mel Gibson is the running again for Hacksaw Ridge in the categories of Best Picture and Best Director.
This year diversity leads the way with Viola Davis, Dev Patel, Octavia Spencer, Denzel Washington, Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris and Ruth Negga getting acting nominations
The 2017 Oscars will air live at 5:30 p.m. PT at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on ABC and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
