Aussie amateur model Ben Williams chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his latest endeavors.
Margaret Mead once said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” This quote applies to Ben Williams.
“Right now, I am trying to finish off school and to get a career going,” the 21-year-old said.
Daily motivations
On his daily motivations, he said, “I want to get better. That’s why I go to the gym every day, and that’s why I try to learn things every day. That is why I want to get a degree. I have a passion for engineering. I just want to better myself each day.”
Most recently, he was photographed for Vous Magazine. “That felt pretty cool. I didn’t expect to get in there, to be honest,” he said about his Vous Magazine feature.

Williams had great words about Japs Photography. “Japs is very good at what he does. He is very professional, and we don’t take long with our shoots… they usually take a few hours. He knows what he is doing, he is good with his lighting, and everything comes out great. He is a fantastic photographer,” Williams exclaimed.
Future plans
On his future plans, he shared, “The next few years, I will be at the university getting my degree in Engineering and Science, and beyond that, it is building my career. I would love to travel internationally as well. Ideally, I would also like to be in a relationship with someone.”

The digital age
On being a part of the digital age, Williams said, “It’s cool. You get to see a bunch of different things, which you wouldn’t have been able to see 20 to 30 years ago, or even 10 years ago, so that’s cool.”
“The digital age also incites a lot of comparison which can be a bit daunting for the insecure. I find that for the most part it’s cool because there is so much information out there. It’s a privilege in a lot of aspects because you have everything you need at your fingertips with a quick Google search. If you have questions, you can always find answers to them,” he elaborated.

Advice for young and aspiring content creators and engineers
For young and aspiring content creators, he said, “If you want to get into the content creation space, you need to post every day. Posting once a day is not enough… you need to post at least two to three times a day if you want to get some traction. You need to be posting constantly.”
“In engineering, you need to do well in school, and you can continue that momentum from there,” he added.
Success
Regarding his definition of the word success, Williams said, “To me, specifically, success would involve being financially free in the sense of not worrying about money. Also, a loving relationship would be a must and still having good connections with all my family and friends.”
For his supporters and followers, he concluded, “Thanks for supporting me so far. There is more to come at this point.”
