Actress and supermodel Elizabeth Hurley starred in the Lionsgate thriller “Strictly Confidential,” which came out earlier in the year. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

The movie was was written and directed by Damian Hurley, and this marked his directorial debut. Aside from Elizabeth Hurley as Lily, the cast included Georgia Lock, Lauren McQueen, Freddie Thorp, Genevieve Gaunt, Max Parker, and Llyrio Boateng, among others.

The synopsis is: On the anniversary of Rebecca’s (Lauren McQueen) death, Mia (Georgia Lock) returns to the Caribbean paradise where she and her best friend shared her final days. As Mia sets out to unravel the mysterious events of her passing, old passions rise, new secrets are uncovered and Mia is pulled into a seductive world of sex, betrayal, and murder.

Elizabeth Hurley and Georgia Lock worked well together, and “Strictly Confidential” was filled with multiple twists and turns.

Overall, “Strictly Confidential” was one of the best directorial debuts of 2024 thanks to Damian Hurley. While many critics bashed the film, it is safe to say that it went over most of their heads because they didn’t get Damian Hurley’s vision, which was unique and creative. There was a lot of symbolism in it, and it was feel-good escapism.

Hopefully, this is a harbinger of more great things to come from Damian Hurley as a director, writer and storyteller.

“Strictly Confidential” garnered a favorable review from Digital Journal, and rightfully so.
