Joanne Trattoria is an exquisite Italian restaurant in the Upper West Side of New York City. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

It is a neat way to experience family tradition with a touch of fame. Patrons are able to enjoy the flavors and ingredients of the Germanotta family recipes.

Origin of the restaurant’s name

The eatery is named after Joanne Germanotta, the sister of owner Joe Germanotta and aunt to Natali and Stefani (Lady Gaga), whose life was tragically cut short from lupus. Joanne’s legacy lives on through the restaurant and via Lady Gaga’s studio album “Joanne,” which is a personal tribute to her memory.

Salads and main course

Their Ceaser Salad with chicken is refreshing, and comprised of Romaine lettuce, croutons, parmesan cheese, and Caesar dressing. Definitely a healthy choice for consumers.

This journalist’s all-time favorite menu item is the “Lamb Osso Bucco” with mashed potatoes and vegetables (topped with parsley), and rich gravy and tender meat.

Desserts

Their desserts are absolutely delectable. Their “Two Sicilian Fresh Filled Cannoli’s” (comprised of Fried pastry tube fresh filled with a sweet cheese cream) were scrumptious and sheer bliss. The same holds true for their savory “New York Cheesecake,” which is made up of Graham cracker crust and rich, dense filling made from cream cheese, hint of lemon, eggs and flour.

At each visit, there is always something different to try due to its elaborate menu of offerings.

“The food and desserts at Joanne Trattoria were great. It had a very good atmosphere,” said Mark Grossman, Emmy-nominated actor.

Entertainment schedule for the week

If that weren’t enough, Joanne Trattoria has an entertainment schedule with “Drag Me to Joanne’s” weekly drag show on Wednesday, Drag Trivia Night on Thursday, Cabaret Magic Fridays, Live Music Under the Stars on Saturdays, and Drag Bingo Night on Sundays.

Conclusion

Overall, Joanne Trattoria is worth checking out, whenever anybody is in the Upper West Side; they will not be disappointed. It garners two giant thumbs up. The entire team deserves to be commended for a job well done.
