Lou’s inspiration comes from his late father, Luis M. Ramirez M.D., who was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and went on to become an accomplished doctor and humanitarian in the U.S. Luis was not only a revered medical professional but also a devoted father and mentor who profoundly influenced Lou’s professional and personal life, instilling the values of hard work and strong ethics in Lou.
Today, Lou honors his father’s legacy through his role as Managing Partner at Heritage Grand Bakery. This 1,500-square-foot bakery stands as a beacon of his dedication to preserving and promoting ancient grains and artisanal milling techniques that are health centric, food as medicine.
Annexed to the bakery, he also owns and operates Heritage Grand Restaurant & Pizza Bar that adheres to the same philosophy of healthy, clean cuisine and also incorporates these ancient grains. The restaurant offers Mediterranean inspired dishes and wood fired pizzas.
