Country superstar Martina McBride has expressed gratitude for her hit single “Independence Day,” and she shared a throwback clip of celebrating 4th of July in her hometown in Sharon, Kansas. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

“Happy 4th of July,” she told her fans and followers on social media. She expressed that “Independence Day” is one of the most important songs that she has ever gotten to record. To this day, McBride considers it her signature song, and rightfully so.

“Every year around this time you guys show it so much love, which I appreciate so much,” she said. “I always want to keep the powerful meaning of these lyrics alive,” she underscored. “My life has truly been changed by this song thanks to all of you ❤️”

The country songstress subsequently shared a throwback with her fans and supporters, where the video clip may be seen by clicking here. “This is my hometown of Sharon, Kansas, population 145, give or take a few. One year we had a celebration there for the 4th. My dad’s band played. We had a cakewalk (that’s Ava you see with me in the cakewalk), and a ton of fireworks. So much fun,” she recalled.

“I hope everybody had a safe and happy Independence day. Happy Independence Day everybody. It was great to be with you Ohio,” she exclaimed in a story post on Instagram, following her live concert in Dublin, Ohio.
