On Wednesday, June 12th, a rally was held in memory of slain “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor in downtown Los Angeles, who was killed tragically on May 25th as a result of attempted catalytic converter theft.

He was known for playing the role of Brando Corbin on the ABC daytime drama “General Hospital” for two years.

This rally/walk in his memory took place from Hope Street (where he was killed) and people marched all the way to LA’s City Hall. It was organized by Micah Joe Parker and Jeremy Luke.

To this day, the killer and his two accomplices are still at large (nearly three weeks from that brutal day). His brother, Grant Wactor, joined Micah Parker, Bryan Barkley, Councilman de Leon, Chief Deputy DA Iniguez, Nathan Hochman, and many of Johnny’s friends and supporters in speaking about his senseless, violent death with local and national media in Los Angeles, before marching for Johnny from Hope/Pico to the steps of City Hall, then sitting within its chambers while the city adjourned its meeting with a moving tribute to Johnny and his short, beautiful life…

A post on @JusticeforJohnnyWactor remarked, “It was an emotional and powerful day for so many who were there, and even more who were there from afar — his mom, Lance, his loved ones in SC, Anita Joy, and many from across our own city and the country. And behind the scenes, there are also his close friends helping to organize and mobilize, while grieving this tragedy. Thanks to each of you, and all of you, for your voice! Johnny would be proud … and impressed!”

They also went on to thank Alyssa Gabrielle Rodriguez for hosting the live session, and everyone in their countless Instagram stories that they were tagged in. The hashtags #justiceforjohnnywactor #justiceforjohnny #johnnywactor are still trending, and rightfully so.

Most recently, “General Hospital” dedicated their Tuesday, June 11th episode “in loving memory of Johnny Wactor,” and rightfully so… The actor was beloved and well-respected by his fans, peers, and critics alike.

Wactor loved participating in fan events and charitable causes such as “Soaps in the South” and “Samantha’s Friends” in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, which benefits many charities and nonprofits.

“Johnny was an amazing soul who was the kindest, most genuine, thoughtful and amazing human being,” fan Michelle Lebowitz said. “Johnny made such an impact in everyone’s life that he came across. He will be missed by all that knew him.”

Marisol Ortiz Quinones remarked, “If I could describe Johnny Wactor to someone who never met him I would say, he had a huge heart full of kindness and a spirit that knew no bounds. He had such a positive presence about him and inspired anyone that cross paths with him to be a better person. It was so easy for Johnny to be that person to make you laugh because he was so full of life and energy. People like Johnny only come into your life once and I am so grateful that even for a short time I knew such a person like him. I will miss him very much.”

Wactor appeared in two interviews, where he went really deep… and fans and viewers got to know him on a more personal, intimate, and spiritual level… Maurice Benard’s “State of Mind” podcast (seen above) and Steven Cuoco’s “Live on Air with Steven Cuoco,” which felt like a “State of Mind” part II (seen below).

The GoFundMe page that was set up in his memory is still available by clicking here.
