“Grace: The Possession,” starring Alexia Fast and Lin Shaye, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year as a horror picture. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

The film was directed by Jeff Chan from a screenplay that Chan co-wrote with Chris Paré, and Peter Huang.

The brief synopsis is: Grace is an 18-year-old Catholic girl whose purity is overtaken by a demonic force. Will it consume her?

Alexia Fast soars in the lead role as Grace while horror icon and Emmy winner Lin Shaye stands out as Helen, her overbearing grandmother. It allows us to see things from the viewpoint of the possessed.

The story is intense, neurotic but fun to watch. It is a bumpy but exhilarating adventure, and it is recommended for fans and viewers that enjoy such films as “Carrie,” “The Exorcism of Emily Rose,” and “The Exorcist.”

For anyone that missed “Grace: The Possession” upon its official release, they ought to check it out now.
