Rudi Sagan, affectionately known as “Rudi the Entertainer,” chatted with #Powerjourlist Markos Papadatos about his love for performing for Magic Men Australia, and boxing.

Greek philosopher Aristotle once said: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” This quote applies to Rudi Sagan.

Magic Men Australia

On being a part of the Magic Men Australia family, he said, “It feels great. I’ve been with them for a long time. I am in the Sydney group, and I started this group with two other guys, and it has come a long way since we started. It is a satisfying experience.”

“When I started with Magic Men, I just got back from working in Las Vegas for a couple of years,” he said. “When I was in Las Vegas, I was in one of the biggest stages and one of the biggest shows, and it was my goal to build the same environment in Sydney.”

“I first started performing when I was 23, so I was younger than a lot of guys here at Magic Men Sydney,” he said.

Working with Will Parfitt, Ceaser Smith, and Carlos

Sagan had great words about Will Parfitt, Ceaser Smith, and Carlos Fang. “I love those guys, it’s all good. Will is always a good time. Ceaser is like the daddy of the boys, and he looks after us,” he said. “I have a lot of respect for all of them. Will is a true megastar and he is an influencer. Carlos is an exceptional businessman, and he knows what he is doing.”

Daily motivations

On his daily motivations, he said, “I take things day by day. I am motivated by training and getting what I need to get done. Also, I have a daughter, and she’s my biggest motivation without a doubt.”

“My goal is to build Magic Men Australia and get it up to the standards of America,” he said.

Future plans

On his plans for the future, he shared, “Even though I am in my early 30s, I feel like I’m still in my prime, and I am definitely one of the crowd favorites. Until I am not, I am going to keep dancing, and when I am not in my prime anymore, I will step into emceeing.”

Boxing

“I also love boxing too,” he exclaimed. “I want to have a few professional boxing matches here in Australia. I would love to verse some former football players in the boxing ring. That’s a side quest.”

Career-defining moments

On his career-defining moments, he shared, “The first show I ever did definitely defined me in some ways. I had no idea what to expect. It was a weird thing, I thought I would be nervous. I thought the nerves would kick in, and they just never came. As soon as I stepped onto the stage, I felt I was born for this, and from that moment, it felt natural and smooth for me.”

Stage of his life

On the title of the current chapter of his life, he said, “Renaissance.” “I’m definitely at a rebirth and I am entering another chapter,” he admitted.

If he were to do any track and field event, it would be the 100 meter dash. In swimming, he listed freestyle as his personal favorite stroke.

Success

On his definition of the word success, he said, “Success is achieving the goals that you set out in front of you. To me, success is not about money, it’s the goals that I set out. Success never ends; once I achieve one goal, I set another one. I am never satisfied.”

Fans and supporters

For his fans and supporters, he remarked, “I always appreciate the fans and supporters. I may not be the biggest social media guy, but I am grateful to them. In this industry, it is all about the fans and the people that come to the shows. I couldn’t do it without the fans. I am massively appreciative.”
