It was a sustainable event with zero waste practices, composting and recycling only. Nikki Reed and director Catherine Hardwicked enjoyed a “Twilight” reunion on the red carpet.

Upon arrival, special guests were invited to a pre-cocktail reception–in partnership with Maker’s Mark, a brand whose mission is to help the regenerative movement, Maker’s Mark has pledged its grain to be sourced from regenified certified farms by 2025–catered by Akasha featuring regenerative fare from local farms.

Maker’s Mark, the iconic handmade Kentucky bourbon, is a proud partner of the Common Ground Film and founding member of the Common Ground 100 Million Acres Initiative, whose goal is to shift 100 million acres of US crop and rangeland into certified regenerative agriculture by the end of 2025.

As an agricultural product, the soil is where Maker’s Mark starts; and since its founding, the brand has been driven by a sense of responsibility towards its shared natural environment.

Maker’s Mark provided fun, appropriately themed cocktails crafted by mixologist to the stars, Leslie Krockenberger, such as the Bronzewing Old Fashioned, the Carrot-Apple Ginger Buck and the Maypop Passion Cooler.

With a packed house of 1,010 guests (and people turned away at the door), the screening began with remarks from event hosts/film narrators Laura Dern and Jason Momoa, and directors Josh Tickell and Rebecca Harrell Tickell.

Jason remarked that he loved the film and he is on board to do more films about soil and regeneration. Jason mentioned how great it was to finally have done a film with Laura. The film was followed by a post screening reception where the filmmakers, film talent, and invited guests mingled to an after-dinner menu and more Makers Mark craft cocktails.
