Emmy winner Maurice Benard of “General Hospital” hosted a holiday-themed “State of Mind” episode on his podcast on mental health. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

This time, Benard was joined by child actresses Ava and Grace Scarola, who share the role of Avery Corinthos on “General Hospital,” as well as their older sister Sophia Scarola, and Scarlett Spears, who portrays Donna Corinthos. He was also joined by his very own granddaughter TT, and a Pomeranian dog.

“I love these little girls… all of them, like my own,” Benard said. “Four are actresses, and the other one is my granddaughter TT,” he clarified.

They all girls all shared what presents they wanted for Christmas, what they want to be when they grow up, what makes them happy, what animals they would be, and what the word “love” means to them. Presents-wise, the consensus was Barbie dolls, as their favorite gift they have ever received. While he may not be a fan of “Barbie,” Benard acknowledged that “Barbie is back again.”

Benard responded to his own question by defining love as “giving.” He subsequently took on the role of “Santa Sunny” and presented the girls with presents, and they opened them.

Overall, this was one of the sweetest and most poignant “State of Mind” episodes thus far. All five girls were adorable, and Benard made them feel comfortable and cherished in return. This is a heartwarming video clip that is worth checking out from start to finish. It will definitely put viewers in the holiday spirit. Well done.
