Review: American swimmer David Johnston is featured on Power 98.5 Satellite Radio

American swimmer David Johnston was recently spotlighted on Power 98.5 Satellite Radio, where he was interviewed by veteran radio and PR personality Steven Cuoco.

Johnston Grew up in Dallas, Texas. He graduated high school in 2020, and he graduated college in three years from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Communication & Leadership with a Business minor. He is the American Record holder in the 800 meter freestyle in short course meters.

Most recently, he was honored as the 2023 national champion in the men’s 400 meter freestyle race, where he won with a time of 3:45.75. This qualified him for the upcoming World Championships, where he will representing Team USA. These Aquatics World Championships will take place from July 23 to 30 in Fukuoka, Japan.

He is a 2023 NCAA runner-up in the men’s 500 yard freestyle, a 2021 NCAA Team National Champion, and an eight-time individual All-American in the NCAA.

One of Johnston’s favorite quotes is one by the late but great business executive Chester Barnard who once said: ““To try and fail is at least to learn; to fail to try is to suffer the inestimable loss of what might have been.” “This means that you never know how good you can get without trying… I live by this quote,” Johnston exclaimed.

On his Favorite part about swimming, he noted that it is the “relationships that he forms with different teammates.” “There are lot of amazing people in the swimming community and USA Swimming is a great organization to be a part of,” he said.

Johnston shared that his goal is to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, and to subsequently win a medal for Team USA.
