Reality TV star Josh Seiter is lending his hand to helping animal charities. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

Seiter is touring the country in the male revue “America’s Loverboys” that doubles as fundraisers for animals.

On helping animal charities, he said, “It feels great. Knowing that we aren’t only entertaining women, but actually doing something substantive and meaningful that will leave an impact on animals is a wonderful feeling. Seeing the amount of dog and cat food piled high at each shows is encouraging. If we have 400 women at a show, I usually see 100-200 bags of cat and dog food lined up against the wall from the pet drive. That warms my heart. I have always been an animal lover ever since I was a little kid. I am that guy who watches the ‘arms of an angels’ commercials for the ASPCA and cries.”

“My heart just goes out to animals,” he admitted. “They are so innocent and so deserving of our love and care. Growing up we had 3 cats, and every 6-7 years when one would pass we’d adopt another. I have a cat named Oliver and he’s been a blessing, even though he has a bit of an attitude and typically just meows at us when he wants food and then ignores us the rest of the time. But being able to actually do something meaningful, instead of just stripping my clothes off, is very rewarding.”

“The food drive happens pre-show at a booth set up along the entrance of our show by the local animal shelter. Every person who brings a can/bag of pet food to the show is automatically enrolled in our raffle to win swag prizes or private dances from the guys during the show. Usually about half of the attendees show up with pet food, so by the end up the show the booth is completely overrun with food. It’s a great way to get women to bring food,” he elaborateed.

He shared that “America’s Loverboy’s” is going great. Seiter enjoys touring America and visiting the different towns and cities that he normally wouldn’t get a chance to see. “The guys I work with are awesome and we have a lot of fun together. Almost all of our shows have been sold out, so I encourage people to get tickets on Eventbrite early if they want to come to a show,” he said.

In his personal life, he revealed that he is “happily engaged.” “The engagement was very special,” he admitted. “It was an intimate setting with just the two of us and my mom. I’m very glad I found someone I care about and want to spend the rest of my life with.”

Seiter concluded about the animal charities, “If you can provide a home for an animal, please do. There are so many animals in need of adoption. They are the most selfless and innocent creatures alive, and deserving of all our love. I think it’s kind of our duty as a more evolved species to help our little fur brothers and sisters. Hopefully we can do this by coming together, and making the world a better place for them.”
