Honorary Oscar winner Diane Warren was recently spotlighted on “The Donna Drake Show” on CBS New York. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

A two-time Telly award-winning TV host Donna Drake spoke to Ms. Warren about what drives her each day as one of the most prolific songwriters of our lives.

Throughout her respected career in the entertainment business, Warren has written nine number-one songs and 32 top-10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 including “If I Could Turn Back Time” (Cher, 1989), “Because You Loved Me” (Celine Dion, 1996), “How Do I Live” (LeAnn Rimes, 1997), and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” (Aerosmith, 1998).

Two of the top 13 hits in the Hot 100’s 57-year history were composed by Warren. She has been inducted into the coveted Songwriters Hall of Fame, and she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her UK success saw her win an Ivor Novello Award when she received the Special International Award in 2008.

Warren has been nominated for 14 competitive Academy Award nominations without a win yet; moreover, she received an honorary Oscar at the Governors Awards in November 2022. Warren’s compositions truly comprise a significant part of “the songbook of our lives,” and it is evident that she only gets better with age and experience.

Their entire informed conversation was quite eloquent and elaborate, and it may be seen below.

Overall, this is an interview that is worthy of a regional Emmy Award or a Telly Award due to its insightful subject matter as it highlights and pays a fitting tribute to the sensational Diane Warren.
