“America’s Got Talent” alum Andreas Alfaro (Positive Impact Movement) chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his latest endeavors.
“I’ve been good,” Alfaro said. “I’ve been traveling a lot lately. Ever since ‘AGT,’ we went on tour with the guys. We went on a European tour, which was super awesome. We got to hit France, Italy and Georgia, and then we got the golden buzzer in ‘Georgia’s Got Talent’ and we were pumped that happened.”
“After that, things got a little slow with the performances, because Travis [Brewer] had suffered an ankle injury, and that put us on hold for a little bit,” he said. “I’ve been very busy with my own career, traveling and doing social media. I have been working a lot on launching this program called ‘Awakened Warrior.’ Travis and I have been holding community group fitness classes in Santa Monica every Wednesday and we put people through warrior training, to help awaken people’s inner warrior spirit.”
Warrior retreats
He is really looking forward to his warrior retreats, as part of “Awakened Weekend Warrior,” which redefines what it means to be a true warrior.
“We are launching retreats, where we take a group of people to nature, and we take them on a two to three-day retreat. We do fitness style bootcamp workouts and we offer different workshops on mindfulness, meditation, animal flow, weapons training, self-defense, and survival,” he said.
“A lot of time lately has been spent creating these warrior retreats,” he acknowledged.
Alfaro noted that he and Travis Brewer have partnered with Blu, and they are doing the DeJá Blu podcast, which features Awaken Warrior workouts.
‘The Ellen Show’
He described his experience performing on “The Ellen Show” as “super cool.” “That was a big dream of James, and we were all super excited for him. That was a big manifestation and goal that we wrote down in our journals in the beginning of our journey,” he said.
“It was pretty crazy and such an awesome day,” Alfaro added.
Motivations
On his daily motivations, Alfaro said, “To become a better version of myself than yesterday.” “My biggest opponent is the person I see in the mirror every day. I am always trying to be better than him,” he said.
He is a firm believer of this quote from ‘Rules for a Knight’ by Ethan Hawke: ”There are only two possible outcomes whenever you compare yourself to another, vanity or bitterness, and both are without value.”
On the title of the current chapter of his life, Alfaro said, “Expansion.”
Success
Regarding his definition of success, he said, “Success used to deal with materialistic possessions but as I’ve grown older, it boils down to happiness. I define that with the quality of relationships that you have surrounding yourself, and the work that you are doing in this life, whether it’s purpose-driven and it’s something that you are truly passionate about.”
“Pursuing the things that naturally make them happy, they have a purpose with it, and they are helping people along the way to make this world a better place,” he added.
“Thank you so much for everyone’s support. They’ve all really had our backs, and it awesome to see this community lift us up with their support. A big thank you to everyone, we do this for the fans because we want to continue to spread our message our positivity and we hope that it has a ripple effect,” he concluded.
