The acclaimed male revue Chippendales announced that they will be returning to Europe for the first time since the pandemic. #Powerjouranalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.
This will be a part of their 2022 “Get Naughty Tour,” and they will sing, dance, and strip in such countries as Germany, Belgium, and Austria.
Chippendales were voted as the “Best Male Revue” destination by the Best of Las Vegas Awards for 10 consecutive years.
“We are so excited to be returning to Europe for the first time in almost two years,” Katerina Tabakhov, Chippendales Director of Operations remarked.
“The cast and crew have missed the audiences and are currently rehearsing and working hard to bring you the best, all-new Chippendales show you’ve seen – featuring new music, choreography, cast members, special effects, and more!” Tabkhov exclaimed.
As the pre-eminent male revue in the world Chippendales strives to bring a fresh and new production to their audiences, and after a two-year break, prepare for an unforgettable return to Europe.
Due to logistical reasons, some of the countries scheduled for 2022 had to be moved to the Spring of 2023. However, the Men of Chippendales will start to heat up Europe from October through December in Germany, Belgium, and Austria. Not to worry – additional European tour dates for Spring of 2023 will be announced in the near future.
In 1979, the Chippendales began gyrating their way into the hearts and laps of women everywhere, becoming the first all-male dance troupe for women in history. Named after the Chippendales-style classic furniture that adorned the original club in Los Angeles, the brand quickly became a pop-culture phenomenon.
The success of the Los Angeles club spawned a New York club as well as other permanent locations and touring troupes that traveled the world, producing shows across Europe, the UK, Australia, and Asia. Today the show’s flagship company plays nightly at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas while the touring company travels the world.
For over four decades, the Men of Chippendales have performed for more than 100 million women in over 100 countries, have traveled more than 6.7 million miles while touring, have torn away over 1.2 million tank tops, worn 56,000 bowties and cufflinks, and have been photographed more than 70 million times.
The famous Chippendales calendar became the first all-male calendar targeted to women, and has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and has been printed in over nine languages.
In 2021, Chippendales Las Vegas, the award-winning male revue at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, was been named, for the 10th consecutive year, the “Best Male Revue” in Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Review Journal’s Best of Las Vegas Awards.
As the leader in entertainment for women, the acclaimed revue has also won (again) the Best of Las Vegas Award for “Best Bachelorette Party.”
The Las Vegas production recently celebrated its 20th anniversary at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, with more than 8,000 performances.
